The Elephant Project
Kiki and Tembo

Kiki and Tembo (which means “elephant” in Swahili) are 8″ stuffed plush elephant dolls. Kiki has an adorable pink dress and Tembo has green overalls. Their clothes are removable and very soft. Each doll comes with a poem about our mission and the plight of elephants.

100% of the net proceeds from the sale of Kiki and Tembo goes to several highly respected agencies that care for orphaned, abused and injured elephants. The organizations we partner with have well-established programs and on-the ground-experience which ensure that every purchase made will directly benefit elephants. We donate to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Kenya, The Elephant Nature Park in Thailand and the Elephant Sanctuary here in the US that take elephants that have been retired from zoo’s and circuses. We have been featured on Women’s Day as the top 3 gifts that give back for the past Holiday Season. When people realize that their purchase goes toward helping elephants, they are really inclined to give Kiki and Tembo as gifts to teach children about the plight of elephants!

Each elephant comes swaddled in tissue paper and twine. We also include a poem about our mission and the plight of elephants. On the site, it is an extra $2.50 for gift wrap.
